ABOUT

BECAUSE

I WAS YOU.

15+ years in corporate leadership across multiple industries. I did everything they told me to do. I attended every training, followed every framework, performed leadership so completely that I lost track of where the performance ended and I began.

Then my body made the decision my mind couldn't.

THE DECISION

THAT CHANGED

EVERYTHING.

I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. My environment had pushed my body beyond stress and into burnout. That was the day everything had to change.

I spent over 15 years in leadership roles across multiple industries. I did everything I was told. Attended every training. Sat through every snooze-fest workshop. Dressed the right way, used the right language, held myself the right way. I performed leadership so consistently and so completely that I lost track of where the performance ended and I began.

I was told if I worked hard enough the promotions would come. So I worked harder. And harder. And when the promotions stopped coming I didn't question the system, I questioned myself.

Nobody warned me about what was actually coming.

The exhaustion that never left. The constant fight or flight. The frustration that curdled into anger. The relationship fracturing. The perfectionism that turned every setback into a personal failure. My work became my entire identity. My ambition became this thing I was chasing without knowing what I'd do if I caught it.

Then my body made the decision my mind couldn't.

No one warned me about the dark side of leadership. The model was never designed to. It was designed for compliance and output. Not for humans. And definitely not for people who want to lead differently.

So I made the decision. I was done leading their way.

I stopped performing and started leading. I set boundaries, real ones, and held them even when people didn't like it. I stopped carrying everyone else's emotional weight as though it were my professional obligation. I stopped chasing a version of success that was making me sick and started building one that was actually mine. It wasn't easy. People pushed back. The system pushed back. But for the first time in fifteen years I felt like I was actually leading, not performing leadership. The difference was everything.

That's why The New Wave exists. The whole leadership model needs to be flipped on its head, and the next generation of leaders deserves to walk in with their eyes open.

I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. My body, under years of relentless stress, performing, pushing, absorbing, was attacking itself. That diagnosis was the moment I understood what the leadership model had actually cost me. Not a missed promotion. Not a difficult quarter. My actual health. My actual relationship. My actual life.

WHAT I BELIEVE

THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND

THE NEW WAVE.

You were never the problem.

The model was handed to you without your input and you were told to fit inside it. The fact that it doesn't fit isn't a failure of character. It's a failure of the model.

Accountability is the most respectful thing a leader can offer.

Decades of leadership development and almost nothing has fundamentally changed. It teaches behaviour and ignores the mind underneath it. We have evolved as humans. The model hasn't kept up.

Authentic leadership is the most effective leadership.

Real accountability. Not performance management dressed up as care. The willingness to hold yourself and others to a genuine standard is one of the most underrated skills in leadership today.

The dark side has to be named.

Not because it sounds good. Because when you stop spending energy on performance, that energy goes somewhere real. Into the work. Into the people. Into decisions made from clarity rather than fear.

The corporate world is a game.

Achievement identity. Toxic positivity. Confidence tipping into arrogance. Success without fulfilment. These things don't stay contained. They bleed into how you lead, how your team feels, and ultimately who you become.

The model hasn't evolved.

There are two sets of rules. The visible game and the actual game. Most leaders only know one of them. Knowing both doesn't make you political. It makes you clear.

The leadership model is cracked.

Outdated. Broken.

In decades of leadership development almost nothing has fundamentally changed. It's still competency frameworks and communication styles and behaviour checklists. It tells you what to do but never, not once, explores the mind underneath it. The emotional weight. The identity cost. The psychological reality of carrying a team while quietly falling apart inside.

We have evolved as humans. The model hasn't kept up.

We're now told to celebrate every win, every milestone, every basic professional obligation, as though doing your job deserves a trophy. Constructive feedback has become a HR conversation. A leader gets labelled difficult because someone was offended by being held to a standard. Accountability, real, honest, grown-up accountability, has become almost radical.

Toxic positivity dressed up as empowerment. Celebrate your wins dressed up as self worth. Surface level frameworks dressed up as development. None of it is touching the real thing.

THAT'S THE GAP.

THAT'S WHAT NOBODY IS SAYING OUT LOUD.

UNTIL NOW.
